Health Grades, Inc. (Nasdaq: HGRD) is the leading healthcare ratings organization, providing ratings and profiles of hospitals, nursing homes and physicians. Millions of consumers and many of the nation’s largest employers, health plans and hospitals rely on HealthGrades’ independent ratings, advisory services and decision-support resources to make healthcare decisions based on the quality and cost of care.
HealthGrades is looking for a summer intern with experience and/or significant interest in the health care industry to complete a number of specific projects related to marketing, business operations, knowledge management, and compensation systems. We anticipate that the intern will complete 2-3 major projects that will be choosen by HealthGrades and the intern from a list that will include the following projects, or the like:
- Market analysis to examine penetration rates and areas of opportunity
- Market research on new market areas, e.g., systems, small hospitals
- Establish knowledge management system for sales and consulting
- Help identify and analyze performance accelerators
- Research and make recommendations on compensation plans for sales and consultants
- Work with consulting team to better identify and train best practices
- Market research on client satisfaction and needs
- Market research regarding non-customers
The intern will report to two executives at HealthGrades. We will provide additional learning experiences as they arise and we are able to accommodate them.
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication, organization, and analysis skills required.
Education: We are looking for student with one or more years of graduate school education in business administration or health services administration. Minimum of a four year college degree required.
