Alumni Updates & Job Opportunities

One of my favorite things as the Executive Director is reconnecting with Bard Center Alumni.

So far 76 faculty, staff, students, advisory council members and alumni have joined our Bard Center for Entrepreneurship Linked in Group. Join Now.

Beth Polizzotto and I went and took a tour of MetroBoom and got to visit with Jung Park. Men, if you need a stylish haircut or a custom tailored shirt, you know where to go.

Sue Goodin, the Chair and CEO of the Progressive Health Center, came back to the Bard Center to visit. She’s looking for Board members if you have time, money and expertise to spare.

Misgana Tesfaye, who is now a field auditor for the State of Colorado Department of Revenue, may come back and do a seminar for us on how to avoid a State Audit. This should be especially useful to smaller companies who cannot afford a full time accountant on staff.

Perry Vasquez, the CEO of Nanoscientific, also stopped by. His company is developing cutting edge solutions to keep germs at bay using novel nanotechnology methods.

Finally, earlier today I got a call from Bruce Marler, President and CTO, of WooshCom.com. He is looking for a Vice President of Sales and Marketing (scroll down for job description). The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of sales experience and is perhaps back in school or has recently completed an MBA. This is a high level position with the opportunity for an equity stake in an emerging company.

I met many of you at the recent networking night at Marlowe’s. Thank you for introducing yourselves to me. Thank you also for sending me your thoughts and recommendations for our Bard Center programs. Keep them coming.
