LinkedIn mini-Workshop coming to the Bard Center. Michael P. O’Neil, CEO of Integrated Alliances (IA), will talk with students to help them integrate their on-line and face-to-face networking efforts for maximum effect. The Alternatives in Science Club will host a one-day workshop March 13, 2008 on the basics of technology entrepreneurship.
The workshop is intended primarily for university students, postdocs and researchers, but is also open to anyone who wants to know more about this very important topic. I2V:Denver will feature an overview of the venture development process from the perspective of academic researchers as well as representatives from the bioscience industry in Colorado. Participants will hear from successful academic researchers turned entrepreneurs, learn about University licensing and IP issues, discuss how to build a venture team, secure funding sources, and related topics as well as have an opportunity to network with members of the growing bioscience community of Colorado. Guest speakers are experts drawn from the region.
Invention to Venture workshops are held in cooperation with the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA).
Cost: $15 Students & PostDocs, $20 Faculty Members & Staff, $30 Business Community & Other guests.
